About the Park Township Airport Historical Association – It is now Flight Path, located at the West Michigan Regional Airport
The Park Township Airport Historical Association is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization located in Holland, MI. Its members desire to promote the excitement of flight through local aviation related activities, events, and hands-on learning for everyone.
PTAHA also partners with local residents, pilots, companies, organizations and schools to present and preserve the rich aviation history of the Park Township Airport.
PTAHA is a partner with Park Township and a core supporter of and participant in the Airpark concept and plan.
Formerly known as Ottawa Aviation, the organization was started in the early 1980’s by a group of 23 pilots. Since that time the Park Township Airport had been managed by Ottawa Aviation. With the recent AirPark Vision plan commissioned by the Township, the board of directors and shareholders of Ottawa Aviation agreed in 2018 to restructure the organization to become a 501(c)(3) Historical Association.
Going forward PTAHA has two immediate objectives:
- Work with local West Ottawa schools, STEM programs, and the Civil Air Patrol 135 Squadron (now stationed at Park Township Airport) to bring the excitement of aviation into their lives.
- Work with Park Township leaders to implement the AirPark Vision plan. If you have historic photos or artifacts, please contact us! If you would like to help with one of our student aviation projects, please contact us!
PTAHA is Dedicated to Preserving our History and Future!
